Age Well, Drive Smart course planned
The California Highway Patrol offers a traffic safety program for older drivers. The Aging Well, Driving Smart program is designed to provide drivers with the keys to safer and longer driving. The next class is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on May 24. The course location will be disclosed after registration.
Discussion topics will include:
⢠How to adjust driving skills.
⢠Refresh your knowledge of the Highway Code.
⢠Learn about normal age-related physical changes and how to cope with them.
⢠When it may be time to limit or stop driving.
⢠Understand alternatives to driving.
Classes last approximately two hours and are free. They are intended for drivers aged 65 and over, but are open to anyone who feels they could benefit from the information.
