MILWAUKEE — If you need a job, the City of Milwaukee Workforce Development Office hosts Northside and Southside Drive-Thru job fairs. Events are scheduled for Thursday, July 14 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Companies are looking for people who need immediate job opportunities.

The drive-through fairs will focus on the wards in the 9th, 12th and 15th Alderman Districts. These districts are among those hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

All attendees will receive a contactless bag with information about employment assistance programs and employers who are hiring right now. The event will feature over 60 employers from fields such as manufacturing, office, healthcare, retail, transportation and logistics, and more.

The Career Fair events have the full support of Joint Council President Jose Perez of the 12e District and Council Members Russell W. Stamper, II of 15e District and Chantia Lewis from 9e District. Drive-Thru Fairs are a creative way to help provide people with immediate employment opportunities in an area close to them and to keep its attendees safe during the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
