HISD is offering free drive-thru COVID-19 PCR testing on August 19, 20 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The tests will be available to HISD staff, students and members of their households. The program is offered in partnership with the Houston Health Department and Fulgent Genetics.

“This adds another layer of protection to our COVID-19 mitigation strategies,” said HISD Superintendent Millard House. “As we begin the new school year, HISD remains committed to keeping our students and staff safe so we can continue to provide safe and sustainable in-person education.”

There will be a limited number of tests available, so follow this link to register online and confirm your place. Be sure to book your appointment by 5:00 p.m. the day before your test. No test will be collected without an appointment.
