The 110cc single cylinder engine based on Honda Eco Technology ramps up a top speed of 83 Km/h. The scooter gets a fuel tank of 3.5-litre capacity and provides an average fuel output of 60 kmpl.
As the Cliq is designed to suit primarily the needs of rural India, Honda has priced it very competitively. Comparatively, Honda Cliq is significantly less expensive than the Honda Activa 4G priced at Rs 50,499 (ex-showroom, Jaipur).
Honda Cliq’s prime competitor is its own sibling, the Honda Activa 4G, which is quite pricier but comes with a classy design, making it suitable for all age segments. In addition, Honda Cliq will also give a stiff competition to TVS Scooty Zest and Suzuki Let’s.
Honda has a clear cut objective of dominating the 100-110cc two wheeler market. As rural part of the country contributes to a higher percentage of sales in this segment, Honda has strategically marketed it as a rural India-focussed scooters. However, the bike has all the features to qualify as an uber cool urban commuter.
