Christmas arrives early in the Hudson Valley.

Tickets go on sale today for Westchester’s Winter Wonderland Drive-Thru Holiday Light Extravaganza.

The 2020 event saw a great turnout from people who attended the holiday season at Kensico Dam Plaza.

For the 2021 version, they are extending the hours and expect to exceed 100,000 visitors from last year.

Santa even makes an appearance to kick off the holiday season.

Over a mile of Christmas lights will be installed at Kensico Dam Plaza with electrifying and whimsical new displays.

This is the 8th annual event, but the second annual drive-thru. In 2020, the Westchester Parks Foundation pioneered the drive-thru concept due to the pandemic, and this holiday season it’s back by popular demand.

“We really wanted to bring this magic back safely because there is still some uncertainty this year in 2021,” says Christine La Porta, deputy executive director of the Westchester Parks Foundation. “We really feel like people loved the event last year, which we couldn’t see doing it any other way. “

The holiday light show kicks off November 26 and runs through January 2 and runs every night of the week.
