The City of Loganville Police Department reported the following incidents for the period of April 4-26, 2022. Please note that an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

April 4

A 44-year-old Loganville woman was arrested and charged with failing to maintain her lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving without a valid license/without a license and driving under the influence – less safe alcohol and for fleeing and attempting to evade police after being flagged by another motorist for driving south on GA 20 in the northbound lanes. She did not stop for police emergency lights and continued to drive at approximately 30 mph before turning onto Bay Creek Road and continuing at approximately 20 mph. When she finally stopped, she reportedly refused to get out of the car and grabbed the gearshift. At that point, she was pulled from the vehicle and thrown to the ground. Police reported a strong odor of alcohol on his person, but refused the state-administered blood test. Her vehicle was towed and she was transported to the LPD for reservation, then transported to the Walton County Jail.

April 6

A 39-year-old Loganville man was charged with driving while his license was suspended/revoked after his tag revealed his license had been revoked for driving under the influence and failing to meet his child support obligations. children. The vehicle, which allegedly contained a small amount of marijuana, was towed away and the subject was released on a copy of the citation.

April 7

A 55-year-old Albany man was arrested on warrant after being arrested by police because he matched the description of a Kroger shoplifter who had previously left the store. A search revealed no stolen goods, but he had an outstanding warrant from Oconee County. He was booked at the LPD and then transported to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

April 8

A 39-year-old Loganville man has been charged with common assault and criminal trespassing after he was seen arguing with an employee and jumping out of the drive-thru window of the Loganville Taco Bell. The officer called for reinforcements and went into the company. Subject was leaving the company and at that point was told to place his body on the floor where he was later arrested. Employees said he complained to employees about the extended time he had to wait for his order, then jumped out of the window. When he saw the police arriving, he started to leave. He was then transported to Walton County Jail and warrants were issued for the charges.

April 11

A 51-year-old Atlanta man was arrested on warrant in Fulton County after he was found wrapped in the doormat outside Loganville City Hall. The warrant was for a parole violation. He was arrested and transported to Walton County Jail.

A 23-year-old Covington man was arrested on warrant following a complaint by his brother about a dispute. The brother said the subject used his vehicle after being told he couldn’t. A background check of the subject came back as having a warrant out of Newton County. He was recovered and transported to Walton County Jail.

A 41-year-old Lawrenceville man was arrested on a warrant and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct after police were called to a disorderly person near Publix in Loganville. Police report he appeared very drunk and broke glass bottles around him which he told police he broke because he was “just frustrated”. He also had a warrant from the LPD. Due to his drunkenness and outstanding warrant, he was arrested and transported to Walton County Jail.

April 16

A 42-year-old Loganville man was charged with possession and use of drug-related items, possession of methamphetamine and lack of insurance after running out of gas at a green light in Loganville . The police checked the tag of the vehicle which was stopped at the green light and it returned as without insurance. When police inventoried the vehicle to have it towed for lack of insurance, suspected methamphetamine and a spoon with residue were in the passenger seat. The vehicle was then towed and the subject transported to the Walton County Jail.

April 17

A 21-year-old Conyers man was arrested on a warrant from the Covington Police Department for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after police were called to the Whitts Inn as he refused to leave. He claimed to be looking for his girlfriend. Warrant was confirmed with Covington PD and subject was arrested and transported to Walton County Jail.

April 20

A 27-year-old Lilburn man has been charged with expired registration, driving with a hanging tag and without insurance after the vehicle he was driving hit a police tag reader as having a hanging tag. When arrested, the driver reportedly admitted to not having insurance and also driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was towed and it was reserved at the LPD and released on a copy of the citations.

April 21th

A 53-year-old Loganville woman was arrested during a Gwinnett County warrant pick-up when she was seen with another man in a warehouse where there had been recent robberies. The man she was with was confirmed to have a storage unit at the facility, but she had an outstanding warrant with Gwinnett County. She was later arrested and transported to Walton County Jail.

April 24

A 56-year-old Sugar Hill man has been charged with shoplifting under $500 after he was seen entering the store with another man, then placing items in a buggy in the sports aisle, then s away from the other man and exit through the landscape area without paying for the items. He was arrested, booked into the LPD, and transported to Walton County Jail.

April 25

A 25-year-old Loganville woman has been charged with failing to yield to a stop sign, possession of marijuana under 1 oz and a DUI – marijuana or controlled substance following a highway collision 81 at Clark McCullers Drive. When officers responded to the accident, they reportedly smelled marijuana on the driver responsible. She reportedly confessed to using marijuana and police reportedly found a green leafy substance and blunt mouthpieces in the vehicle. Evidence and a urine sample were taken and she was booked into the LPD and she was transported to Walton County Jail.

April 26

A 42-year-old Loganville woman was arrested on a Gwinnett County warrant when she came to the LPD lobby. She was booked and transported to Walton County Jail.

A 60-year-old Loganville man was charged with driving with a suspended tag and in violation of a driver’s license after his license plate was alerted to a tag reader. When it was confirmed he had a limited DUI license and said he had just sold some stuff at an antique store and was on his way to shop in Ingles, he said been arrested. He was booked at the LPD and released on a copy of his citations and his vehicle towed away.
