The Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s Office invites community residents to safely and FREE dispose of their personal documents at his 4th Annual Drive-Thru Shred Community Day event. This event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Manatee County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 21, 2022. ShredQuick, a National Association for Information Destruction AAA certified professional shredding company, will provide shredding services for this event. There is no cost for this service; however, households may only bring two standard size bank boxes, 12 inches by 10 inches by 15 inches. No deposits are accepted and all attendees must remain in their vehicle with their documents until a member of the clerk’s staff or volunteer safely places their documents in a shredding bin for shredding . Residents may bring any color or type of paper document for disposal. These items may include financial statements, social security records, bank statements, and other personal documents containing sensitive personal information. Plastic ID and credit cards are also accepted. Paper clips, staples, rubber bands, labels and filing tabs do not need to be removed. ShredQuick will not accept electronic devices, filing cabinets, junk mail, magazines and newspapers at this event.
