Award-winning artist puts his skills to the test in Drive-Thru comedy series
Dallas, Texas (RestaurantNews.com) Hundreds of Fayetteville “Caniacs” had to cross “Meet Snoop Dogg” from their bucket list after the Doggfather made a surprise appearance at a local Raise the cane Last week.
Like Snoop, this was no ordinary meeting. Queues stretched around the building as locals “parked like it was hot” to try and get their favorite chicken fingers served by the award-winning artist. The word spread quickly as a customer TikTok video has gone viral and has since amassed 5 million views.
âSnoop is a great Caniac and a good friend, so it’s always fun to work together,â said Todd Graves, Founder and CEO of Raising Cane. âIt was part of our new Driving comic series and a unique way for Snoop to promote his new album. We have a lot more fun surprises up our sleeves, so be sure to keep an eye out for the drive-thru. You never know who could serve our ONLY LOVE® Following!”
Last week’s pop-in at Fayetteville Cane’s is just the latest in a series of appearances Snoop has made with the brand. Last year, during the pandemic lockdown, DJ Snoopadelic joined Shaquille O’Neal (DJ Diesel) to host a virtual graduation party for high school and high school students across the country. And earlier this year, Snoop was a special guest on Restaurant catering, a Discovery + and Cooking Channel series that followed Graves and his team as they helped struggling restaurateurs recover from the pandemic.
“Raising Cane has teamed up for the release of my new album, Algorithm, so since I was near a Cane for a DJ gig last week, I decided to go to a restaurant and see all the push and promotion behind my project, âSnoop Dogg said. âThen I told the employees to take 10 so I could jump into the drive-thru for a while and let the fans know that my album is out on November 19th.e. Cane’s crew and the town of Fayetteville, ARK were incredibly friendly as always. I had a great time⦠and will definitely be doing it again in the near future. Go to a Cane’s and check it out. The next town doesn’t meet me there, beat me there ugot2doit.
Raising Cane’s also helps promote Snoop’s new album and comedy series through in-restaurant messages, such as life-size stand-ups, radio, and billboards. For more information and to watch the first episode of Raising Cane’s new Drive-Thru comedy series, visit raisecanes.com/dtcomedyseries.
