[Akron, OH] – Summit County Public Health will be offering a drive-thru clinic for COVID-19 vaccinations on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 1867 W. Market St. Akron, Ohio 43313 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccine will be offered, per CDC guidelines. Visits without an appointment will be accepted. If a line develops, do not stop on the train tracks. Masks are mandatory at all CSHP vaccination clinics.
Based on CDC guidelines, CSHP will offer the 2nd Pfizer & Moderna booster doses 4 months or more after the date of the first booster dose for the following people:
- 50 years and over
- 12 years and older (Pfizer) and 18 years or older (Moderna) who are moderately or severely immunocompromised
- Received the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine from Johnson & Johnson for their first vaccine and booster SCPH encourages residents who are both vaccinated and unvaccinated to continue practicing safe and effective behaviors to reduce the spread of COVID-19:
- Stay home if you are sick, even with mild symptoms
- Be mindful in your interactions with others. Limit your risk of exposure by maintaining a social distance of at least six feet from non-household members
- Wear a mask in public
- Follow good hygiene standards:
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Use hand sanitizer frequently
- Avoid touching your face
